Former Prime Minister of Pakistan: Nawaz Sharief

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that the general elections would be held on its own time and wouldn’t be postponed, The Dawn newspaper reported.

He said while replying some parliamentarians of Balochistan who had tabled a resolution to postpone the general election on the pretext of Haj and rainy season.

He urged the people to stop halting the election process and said that the rains are not the reason to halt the polls.

He added that the elections wouldn’t be delayed further what so ever the conditions would be. “We will not let the election be postponed even for an hour,” he said.

Meanwhile he assured his party members that their party would be among the winners and urged the party workers to remain active at the polling booths till termination of the entire election process.

Criticising the apex court decision against him, the former PM said the masses would have to reverse this decision with the power of their votes as it had hit the interest of the country and halted its prosperity.
