At least, 60 houses were ransacked and their doors and windows damaged by Army on Monday, the locals alleged.

Residents of Sugan village in Shopian alleged that dozens of houses were ransacked in their area by Army after their vehicle was hit by an IED blast

Locals said that the house of Hizb Commander Zeenat-ul-Islam was also ransacked

Earlier,  after the IED blast, youth hit the streets and pelted stones on government forces who retaliated with teargas shelling.

Defense spokesman Rajesh Kalia did not responded despite repeated attempts to reach him
