Srinagar, Mar 15: Additional Director General Border Security Force (Western Command), PV Rama Sastry Wednesday said the situation on Kashmir borders is under complete control.

He said secure borders are very important for any country.

While talking to reporters on the sidelines of passing-out parade of fresh recruits at STC Humhama, PV Rama Sastry said that BSF has been efficiently protecting and maintaining the borders of the country. “Borders in Jammu and Kashmir have been made impregnable. We are alert and watchful, capable enough to foil any attempt of infiltration,” he said.

The Addition DG said that efforts are being made from across the border to smuggle drugs. “Drones are being used for the purpose, but we have successfully prevented all kinds of misadventures,” he said adding that besides taking care of the security of the country, BSF is also developing close friendly relations with border residents. knt
