Srinagar, Oct 13: Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday administered the oath of office to Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey as Chief Justice of High Court of J&K and Ladakh.

The LG Sinha congratulated Magrey on his new appointment. Justice Magrey would be the 35th Chief Justice of the High Court.

Retired judges of the High Court, Advocate General, judicial officers, lawyers, and dignitaries including the Chief Secretary and other officers from the civil administration and the Police Department were present at the ceremony.

Earlier, Supreme Court Collegium has recommended to Government the elevation of Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey as Chief Justice of High Court of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
