Srinagar, Aug 27: Cloud burst hit a village in South Kashmir’s Kulgam village in broad daylight creating panic among people.
Local sources said that a cloud burst hit Tangmarg Aharbal village on Saturday as a result water from the mountains came rushing down and flooded the village, damaging property.
They said that water entered several houses besides, washing away crops.
Shortly after the cloud burst, locals from the far-flung village rescued students who were present in the school and live-stock. Local sources added that besides Tangmarg hamlet, flash floods also hit adjacent villages like Check-i-Watoo and Asnoor.
They said a local canal was breached as a result trees in orchards and other crops were damaged. Officials from local administration rushed to the spot and assessed the quantum of loss.knt
