Six dead in Ramban road accident

Ramban, July 25: One more person injured in Ramban accident on Sunday has succumbed to her injuries at SKIMS Srinagar on Monday morning. The toll has reached six among which 4 are women.

Five persons, including three women, were killed and three others sustained grievous injuries after a speeding Scorpio (CH01AQ-8402), they were travelling in, fell into a deep gorge at Hingni Ramsu in Ramban district on Sunday afternoon. The vehicle was carrying a marriage party.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that an injured lady undergoing treatment at SKIMS succumbed to her injuries. They identified the victim as Nazia Begum of Neel.

The six persons died in the accident are Haja Begum, 60, wife of Abdul Rashid Naike, resident of Nachlana and Abdul Rashid, 44, son of Ghulam Mohd Naike, resident of Hingni, driver Mushtaq Ahmed, 37, son of Abdullah Malik, resident of Shagan, Zahida Begum, 42, wife of Jalal-Ud Din, resident of Nachlana, Naseema Begum wife of Muzaffar Ahmed of Gurnakh Wagan and Nazia Begum. knt
