DGP, FC (ACS) Home chair high level meeting at Crime Headquarters

Srinagar, Jul 25: The Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh along with the Financial Commissioner (Addl. Chief Secretary) Home Department, J&K, R.K Goyal today chaired a high level meeting at Crime Headquarters J&K to review the implementation of Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) project.

Spl. DGP Crime J&K, A. K. Choudhary, ADGP (Hqrs) PHQ, M. K. Sinha, SSP Crime Economic Offences Wing, Amritpal Singh, SP Special Crime Wing, Crime Branch Kashmir Peerzada Naveed DySP CICE Musadiq Basu and other officers of Crime Headquarters attended the meeting.

During the meeting approval of funds regarding the major and minor requirements of the CCTNS Project were granted and funds for replacement of hardware and migration of data was also approved. Besides, inclusion of Police Stations of ACB for CCTNS coverage was also approved.

DGP J&K Dilbag Singh and Financial Commissioner (Addl. Chief Secretary) Home Department, J&K, SR.K Goyal witnessed a demonstration regarding functioning of CCTNS project conducted by the officers of Crime Headquarters.

During the meeting discussion was held regarding the agenda points of the meeting which included migration of CCTNS Data Centre to cloud, inclusion of new sites, replacement of old/obsolete hardware and handling of CCTNS project post exit of System Integrator.

Addressing the officers the DGP and FC Home stressed for ensuring the complete implementation of the project by taking all the necessary measures. They stressed real time coordination with the wings for the desired result of the project. They stressed for speeding up the remaining work in implementing the project fully and added that the maintenance of sites and its supervision is of utmost importance so that the people of UT get benefited with the much needed citizen friendly and transparent police services.

The officers directed for monitoring the functioning of the project at police stations and supervisory levels on a regular basis. They reiterated that all the required and necessary measures must be followed to completely switch over to the system.

The DGP informed that for popularizing and promoting the JKeCOP application he has issued orders for downloading of this app by all police personnel so that more and more people are connected with the system.

Spl. DGP Crime J&K the nodal officer for CCTNS conducted the proceedings of the meeting with the power point presentation briefing that 100% sites have been connected through higher bandwidth, all mandatory Citizen Services (as suggested by NCRB) have been made available to citizens through CCTNS Citizen Portal https://jkpoliceeservices.gov.in, Android mobile app JK eCOP launched to make citizen services more accessible to general public. All mandatory Citizen Services and many other features like SOS/Panic button, Highway Status, Women Complaint, Report Traffic Violation and Report Traffic accident etc have been incorporated in the App.
He informed that the two way integration of CCTNS with ICJS and e-Courts has been completed. Daily Diary (Roznamcha) is being maintained at all police stations through CCTNS CAS, he added.
