One killed, 5 of a family injured in Bhaderwah accident

Doda, Jun 20: One person was killed while four others of a family were injured when the car they were travelling in plunged into a deep gorge near Bamlakhi village on Bhadarwah-Chamba road in Bhadarwah sub division of Doda district.

Officials said that a car bearing registration number JK02N-7787 skidded off the slippery road and fell into a deep gorge when it was on way to Bhaderwah.

The family after having outing at Padri on Bhadarwah-Chamba road met with an accident near Bamlakhi village at around 3.30 PM, resulting in injuries to all the six persons including 3 teenagers.

The victims were rushed to Sub District Hospital Bhadarwah, where doctors declared one of them as brought dead.

The deceased has been identified as Arjun Singh (33) son of Faqir Singh of Sharerna village in Bhalla tehsil.

The injured, however, are undergoing treatment at SDH Bhadarwah and their condition is stated to be stable. The injured have been identified as Meenu Devi (43) wife Dev Raj, her two daughters Himani (15), Deepika (13) and her son Rahil Dev (17), Sahil son of Rattan Lal—all residents of Bhalla.kno
