Sopore, May 05: Body of a 22-year-old youth, who had gone missing from his home in Nehrpora area of Sopore town yesterday, was found from an orchard on Thursday morning.

An official said that locals spotted the body in an orchard and immediately informed the police.

He said that soon after getting information about the same, a police team was rushed to the spot and body of the youth identified as Irfan Nazir Shah son of Nazir Ahmed Shah of Nehrpora Sopore was recovered. “The body was subsequently taken to Community Health Centre Sopore for medical formalities,” he added.

The official said that the cause of death was being ascertained and further investigation has been taken up.

Notably, Irfan had gone missing from his home on Wednesday morning, while family had been look around everywhere to seek his whereabouts.kns
