Kashmir parts receive fresh snowfall: Intermittent rainfall in plains brings mercury down

Srinagar, Apr 21: Kashmir parts received a fresh snowfall while the intermittent rains lashed Valley on Thursday, bringing chilly weather conditions back as the temperature continued to plummet for the second straight day.

Several areas including the world famous tourist places—Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Gurez, Machil in northern Kashmir received fresh snowfall today.

The plains across the Valley received intermittent rainfall for the second straight day today, plummeting the maximum temperature here, the officials in Meteorological department said.

They said that a Western Disturbance is presently affecting Jammu and Kashmir from April 19-22 and in the result of which occasional light to moderate rain or snowfall would occur till Apr 21
