Srinagar, Sep 16: Jammu and Kashmir Thursday witnessed 170 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,421, while no death was reported in last 24 hours.
With no more death, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,415 and 170 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 327,466.
Of the exact number of 327,466 cases, 204,046 are from Kashmir division and 123,420 from Jammu division. Officials said that among 170 new cases, 129 belong to Kashmir division while as 41 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 204,046 including 200,632 recoveries and 2,246 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 123,420 including 120,998 recoveries and 2,169 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,421 including 1,168 from Kashmir division and 252 from Jammu division.
With 98 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 321,630 which is 98.22 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 70 from Srinagar, 12 from Baramulla, 27 from Budgam, 05 from Pulwama, 05 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 03 from Bandipora, 07 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 41 from Jammu division include 10 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 05 from Rajouri, 04 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 02 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 19 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Thursday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 46.
As per officials figures, 73,380 positive cases including 837 deaths and 71,845 recoveries are from Srinagar, 24,122 including 282 deaths and 23,688 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,410 including 23,066 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Budgam, 15,397 including 15,169 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,305 including 166 deaths and 14,105 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,483 including 16,262 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,690 cases including 9,557 and 101 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,201 including 10,087 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,456 including 11,310 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,602 including 5,541 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,097 including 51,895 recoveries and 1,143 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,390 including 11,248 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,139 including 10,877 recoveries and 236 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,690 including 7,509 recoveries and 131 deaths are from Doda, 9,288 including 9,136 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,138 including 7,016 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,803 including 4,748 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,340 including 6,229 recoveries and 97 deaths are from Poonch, 6,008 including 5,931 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,527 including 6,409 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 3,435,569 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 8,070 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,421 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,957,278 persons have completed the surveillance period and 464,278 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 14,147,712 samples are available. Out of 14,147,712 the number of samples tested negative stands at 13,820,246 while as 327,466 have tested positive, among them 1,421 persons are active, 321,630 persons have recovered and 4,415 persons have died. kno
