August 09: Police in Budgam have arrested a person involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals from Harwani Khansahab area of Budgam.
Police party of Police Station Khansahib have arrested 01 person and seized a JCB invloved in illegal excavation and transportation of raw minerals from Government land at Harwani, Khansahab area of Budgam. The arrested person has been identified as Fayaz Ahmad Khan son of Mohd Akbar Khan residdent of Hariwani Khansahib.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 187/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Khansahab and investigation set into motion.
Police requests the people not to indulge in illegal mining activities as it is the violation of Government rules. Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
