HC Allows Litigants To Enter Court Premises, Not Buildings From Aug 2

Srinagar, July 30: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on Friday said that entry into the Court premises of the litigants will be allowed from August 2. However, the entry of the litigants into the Court Buildings shall continue to be prohibited till further orders, according to the Registrar General of court Jawad Ahmad said in the order.

“In continuation to the earlier order dated 30.06.2021 on the subject, the Chief Justice has been pleased to order that in view of the considerable decline in Covid-19 infection cases in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, the litigants shall be allowed entry into the Court premises with effect from 2nd August 2021, to enable them to meet their counsel in their chambers,” the order reads, adding, “However, their entry into the Court Buildings shall continue to be prohibited till further orders.” gns
