2 armymen injured in Kulgam gunfight, hospitalized

Srinagar, June 30: Two army troopers were injured in an ongoing gunfight at Chimmer area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.

Official sources said that two army soldiers received bullet wounds in an ongoing gunfight. Subsequently both were removed to 92 Base hospital for treatment, where there condition is said to be stable.

Earlier during firefight three militants were also killed, he added.

Reports said that a joint team of Police, army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Chimmer.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight. gns
