Budgam, June 7: After receiving information about the movement of militants, Joint Forces cordoned off a Budgam village and launched a search operation.

Sources said that Pethzanigam Beerwa area in Center Kashmir’s district Budgam was brought under siege by the soldiers from 53 Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Door-to-door searches were conducted and identity cards of villagers were checked, locals said. The search operation was underway till the filing of this report. knt
