Prompt action leads arrest of stabbing accused within 2 hours in Baramulla

Srinagar, May 05: Acting Swiftly police on Wednesday arrested a stabbing accused within two hours after committing crime in North Kashmir’s Baramulla.

In a statement the police said that on 4th May Police post Mirgund recieved an application in evening hours regarding attempt to murder from one Asif Ahmad Bhat son of Gh Mohamad Bhat resident of KP Bala Rambail, who at his home town was stabbed with knife by one of his neighbours namely Muntazir Ahmad Bhat son of Mohamad Maqbool Bhat over a minor dispute between them.

Statement further stated, In this regard case registered in Police Station Pattan u/s 307,341,324 IPC against him and the injured was taken to SMHS Srinagar for treatment. During the course of investigation a team was constituted under the supervision of DO Police Post Mirgund who after raiding at multiple locations, finally got succeeded in arresting the accused within an hour.

Locals of the area hailed the quick and timely action of Pattan Police and demanded strict action in the case, reads the statement.
