Four youth injured in explosion near encounter site in South Kashmir’s Sirhama

Srinagar, Sept 25 Four youth were injured after some explosive substance went off near a gunfight site in Sirhama area of Bijbhera in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.

The incident happened soon after the encounter in which two Lashker-e-Toiba militants, one of them a top commander of the outfit, were killed, official sources revealed.

They said that the many people rushed to the encounter site and there was explosion as a result of which four youth— Irfan Ahmad, Mohammad Yaseen Rather son of Mohammad Maqbool, Shahid Yousuf son of Mohammad Yousuf Sheikh and Mudasir Ahmad Magray son of Gul Mohammad Magray were injured. Two of them have been shifted to Srinagar hospital and two others shifted to Bijbhera Sub district hospital, they said.

A police officer confirmed  the injuries to four persons. However he said that it was not immediate known what kind of explosive burst.

As per the sources one among the slain militant is said to be Top LeT commander and another a Pakistani national. (GNS)
