New Delhi, Jun 30: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not mentioning Indo-China standoff at LAC in the address to the nation.
In a ‘poetic ‘ tweet that cited an Urdu couplet, Rahul said the failure to speak about the dispute with China in his address raises questions over his leadership.
‘Tu Idhar Udhar Ki Naa Baat Kar, Yeh Bata Ki Kaafila Kaise Luta, Mukhe Rehzanon Se Gila To Hai, Par Teri Rehberi Ka Sawan Hai’ (Don’t talk about here and there, tell me how the caravan was looted, I have a grouse with robbers, but it is a question on your leadership.),’ he said quoting a couplet by poet Saheb Zafri.
Rahul and the Congress have been constantly attacking Mr Modi and the NDA government on the Indo-China border standoff in which 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a violence at Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh with Chinese troops earlier this month. The casualties at Chinese side in not yet known.
The Congress have accused the government of failing to prevent the incursions by China on the Indian territory and preventing the deaths.
In his address to the nation, Mr Modi announced extension of PM Garib Kalyan Yojana till November 30.
