Rocket attacks in Helmand kill 23 civilians

Kabul, Jun 29: At least 23 civilians were killed in Afghanistan’s Helmand province as four rockets targeted a festival being celebrated at a market on Monday morning, said the provincial governor’s office on Monday.

The statement stated that the attack took place at the Sangin district of Helmand province and caused injuries to about 15 other civilians.
The statement said that the rocket attacks were followed by a car bomb explosion and blamed the Taliban for the attack.
