Iran to re-open holy sites to public after Eid

Tehran, May 21: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced here on Thursday that Iran’s pilgrimage sites and religious centers would be allowed to re-open after Eid al-Fitr festival which marks the end of holy month of Ramadan.

The Iranian president made these remarks at the anti-coronavirus headquarters of the country which saw the participation of several high ranking officials who are involved in the country’s anti Covid-19 response.

IRNA news agency quoted President Rouhani saying that the holy sites would re-open but certain regulations need to be followed by the people.
