Sopore: Family of Sopore youth staged a protest demonstration today  against his mysterious death in a local hotel here in Srinagar on Sunday.

Reports said that relatives and other family members of deceased Abdul Rahim Marazi alias Gusha son of Ghulam Mohammad Marazi of Sofi Hamam assembled at Chankhan on Srinagar-Sopore highway and blocked traffic for sometime.

The protestors demanding a thorough probe into the death of Marazi and those involved should be punished as per law.

Marazi, as per his family had left his home with his friends on last Saturday and had stayed a night in a local hotel in Srinagar. The family alleged that their kin was murdered there.

Meanwhile a team of police reached the spot and assured the protesters that case with regard to Marazi’s killing is registered in Police Station Maisuma and investigations are underway. (GNS)
