Jammu: Amid tight security arrangements, first batch of Shri Amarnath Yatra will be leaving for Srinagar on Sunday from Bhagwati Nagar based Yatri Niwas base camp, here.
The pilgrims will leave in a fleet of State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) buses.
Meanwhile, on the spot registration process has also been started at the base camp for the pilgrims while the health department has also established a health and medical check up center.
The Yatri Niwas was beautifully decorated and given facelift to welcome pilgrims with open heart.
Troops of CRPF have been deployed around the Yatri Niwas Bhawan along with security wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Security gadgets, frisking equipment are installed besides CCTVs at the venue to keep a check on every movement.
The Yatra is likely to be flagged off by the Advisor to Governor K K Sharma along with other administrative and police officials.
However, traffic advisories were also issued for movement of the convoy.
The CRPF teams and health department ambulances will also accompany the pilgrims all along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
