Srinagar: Chairperson of the Women’s Commission in Srinagar has summoned Executive Engineer R&B Right River Division Srinagar to present himself before the commission after a lady daily-wager of the department alleged that the Exin has stopped his remuneration for last more than 18 months.

In her application, the lady employee Mehmooda has written to the commission that the Exin Nayeem Ahmad Hakim, without any reason, has stopped his daily remuneration.

She pleaded before the commission to intervene in the matter. The commission has summoned the Exin on July 9.

Private secretary to chief engineer R&B confirmed to The Kashmir Press that he has received the summon.

Mehmooda alleged that the AEE’s of the department are demanding bribe from her to release the pending dues.

One of the AEE’s in question told The Kashmir Press that Mehmooda remains present in the office but alleged that she rarely works in the office. “We will respond to the commission’s queries ourselves,” he said and dropped the phone.
