Srinagar:The Income Tax department sleuths on Thursday morning conducted raids at several places in capital city Srinagar.

Sources said that the sleuths of the department raided the residence and office of Hilal Ahmad Rather at Humhama and Sangarmal Complex in Srinagar. Hilal is a son of former Jammu and Kashmir Finance Minister and senior National Conference leader Abdul Rahim Rather.

Reports said that raids of the department are underway at eight different locations in the valley.
