Kulgam-Yaripora road:  Protesters plant paddy saplings on the road to invite attention of authorities 

Anantnag, In a novel protest to highlight the bad condition of the road, people in a village in southern Kulgam district on Saturday planted paddy saplings in the water filled potholes of the road.
People in Kanipora village of Kulgam Saturday assembled on the Kulgam-Yaripora road and planted paddy saplings in the potholes that have developed on the busy road.
The road connects dozens of villages to district headquarter Kulgam.
Locals who spoke to Kashmir Press said that the road is in a very bad condition at several places causing inconvenience to the passengers.
They said planting saplings in the potholes on the road filled with muddy water was aimed to invite the attention of the authorities towards the dilapidated condition of the busy road.
