Ganderbal: A motorcyclist and his pillion rider were killed after a Tipper hit their motorbike in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district last evening, officials said on Wednesday.

The truck bearing registration number JK03-7541 hit the motorbike (JK01AA-5371) at Neitang Lar area on Tuesday evening, resulting in the on the spot death the motorcyclist while the pillion rider died at SKIMS hospital in Srinagar.

The duo was identified as Uzair Ahmad Lone son of Showkat Ahmad Lone of Duderhama Ganderbal and Usaid Yousuf Bhat son of Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, also resident of Duderhama, who died in SKIMS.

A police officer said that police have taken cognizance and further investigations have been taken up.
