Srinagar: Unidentfied on Saturday evening lobbed two grenades towards the house of Congress Leader Umer Jaan at Pinglena in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Reports said that the militants one grenade exploded inside the premises of the Congress leader’s house while as another one did not explode.

He said that Congress leader was not present at his home when the incident took place.

However, there were no immediate reports of any injury or damage in the incident.

Later  police party reached the spot and requested family not to venture out till the unexploded device was disposed off by the Bomb Disposal Squad which has been summoned to the place, the reports said.

The government forces  cordoned off the area and launched a manhunt to arrests the accused. (GNS)
