Pulwama: Predawn gunfight rages between militants and government forces in Dalipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday

Reports said that a joint team of forces including army’s 55 RR and SOG Pulwama cordoned off Dalipora after inputs about presence of militants in the area.

As the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon government forces triggering an encounter.

A senior Police official confirmed that some exchange of firing has taken place between militants and government forces. 

There was a lull in the exchange of fire when this report was being filed.
