Man slips to death with tilling his land in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal

Srinagar: A 65-year-old man slipped to death from a mountain in Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday.

Identified as Abdul Aziz Bijran son of Mawali Bijran a retired PDD employee and a resident of Haknar Gund in Ganderbal district, reports said he slipped from nearby mountains when he was tilling his own cultivation land and his foot slipped and his head hit a stone resulting in his on spot death.

“On getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the deceased to Public Health Centre (PHC) Gund where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.”

The body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
