Rajouri: Several persons including a cop has been booked by police for duping people by promising them of doubling their money. 

According to KNO correspondent in Manjakote police station, complaints were lodged in Rajouri that their money was taken on the pretext of doubling the investment. 

“During the investigation, it was found that a number of people from Manjakote police station jurisdiction have invested their money with some local men of Rajouri with the assurance of doubling it,” police said.  

A police constable identified as Iftikhar Ahmed resident of  Salwah Mendhar and posted in Rajouri was also found actively involved in it who was luring locals to invest their money. 

The said police constable has been arrested while search has been started for other person booked in the case.(KNO)
