Srinagar: 30.42 percent votes have been cast in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district till 1 pm.

Officials said that in Karnah 13165 votes were cast, while as in Kupwara a total of 39177 votes have been polled out of total 134183 registered votes.

“Lolab stood at 30783 votes, Handwara had cast 36084 votes, and in Langate 14974 votes were cast till 1 pm,” an official said.

National Conference’s Akbar Lone, Peoples Conference’s Raja Aijaz Ali and Er Rashid have a cut throat competition for the seat.

PDP has fielded former employee union leader Qayoom Wani for the seat.
