Omar leads protest sit-in highway ban

Srinagar: On second day of highway ban National Conference (NC) vice President and former chief minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday held a protest sit-in against the order that bars civilians from using the highway on two days. 

Abdullah lead the protest and was joined by NC General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani,  Peer Afaq, Tanvir Sadiq, Salman Sagar and Ahsan Pardesi.

Protesting NC members assembled at Nowgam bypass and marched towards highway and kept raising anti-ban slogans. 

They demanded revocation of the order.
