Srinagar: The casual labourers of Public Health Engineering (PHE) Thursday held a protest demonstration in Srinagar demanding release of pending salaries and other benefits.

Reports said that hundreds of employees accompanied by their children assembled at Partap Park in Srinagar and held a demonstration demanding release of salaries that have been pending for past 18 months and amendment in the SRO entitling them to service benefits.

The protesting employees said that they have already locked down many PHE offices and if their demands are not met, they will intensify their protests.
