India Pakistan army exchange fire along LoC in Rajouri

Jammu: Indian and Pakistani army on Sunday yet again exchanged violated the ceasefire by targeting forward posts and villages along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesperson said.

The spokesman said that the mortar shelling and small arms firing from across the border started in Nowshera sector this morning around 0900 hours.

“Pakistani Army initiated the unprovoked ceasefire violation, prompting befitting retaliation by the Indian Army,” he added and said that the cross-border firing between the two sides was continuing when last reports were received.

There was no report of any casualty on the Indian side, said the spokesman.

On Saturday evening also Pakistan fired unprovoked on LoC in Mankote and Krishna Ghati sectors of Poonch.
