Srinagar: Government forces Friday morning  launched a massive cordon-and-search operation in Batagund village of Hajin in northern Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

A police official said that a joint team of army’s 13RR, Jammu and Kashmir Police  and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation in  the village following inputs about movement of militants.

“All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed and door to door searches are going on,” witnesses said

The search operation was going on till last reports.
