Bandipora: The District electoral officer Bandipora has placed under suspension Chief Medical Officer and Block Medical Officer Bandipora and ordered inquiry after the two officials were allegedly found attending a political workers’ meeting of National Conference early this week.

The order reads “Whereas, photographs and video dips were received through Chief Electoral Officer JK for inquiry and action against Dr Bilquees Mir Chief Medical Officer Bondipora and Dr Syed Rehman Block Medical officer Bandipora for their alleged involvement in political activities and misconduct under Service Rules”

“Whereas the matter was got verified through Addl. Deputy Commissioner Bondipora (Nodal Officer Model Code of Conduct) who has vide No:DEOBpr2018- 1 92071, dated:25.03.2019 submitted his report which prima-facie establishes that Dr Bilquees Mir Chief Medical Officer Bandipora has indulged in Political activities and that she cmd Dr Syed Rehman Block Medical Officer Bandipora has offended workers meeting of National Conference in which the contesting candidate was also present which is a case of violation of MCC and misconduct under service rules on part of these officers.”

“Therefore, in view of above, both the officers are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect. Addl. District Development Commissioner Bandipora shall conduct ana detailed inquiry into the conduct of both the officers and submit his report with the recommendation for taking further disciplinary action against them under the law. The officer shall remain attached with the office of Addl District Development Commissioner Bandipora.”
