Srinagar: Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) Awantipora on Thursday postponed all the examinations scheduled for Friday.

An official of the varsity said that the authorities have decided to suspend all the examinations scheduled for 22/03/2019 (Friday). He said fresh dates will be notified separately.

A local youth Rizwan Asad, who would also deliver guest lectures at the varsity, was killed in police custody on Tuesday. His killing has led to protests in Awantipora area where a shutdown is being observed since Tuesday.
