Srinagar: Government forces Tuesday morning laid a siege to Chandgeer village in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district and started a search operation.

Reports said that a joint contingent pf government forces including Army, J&K Police and paramilitary CRPF sealed all the entry and exit points which also effected the movement of local transport in the area.

The search operation was launched after specific inputs about presence of militants in the area.

Searches were going on in the area when last reports came in.
