Srinagar: One person died while as two others were injured in a mishap after their vehicle met with an accident in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police officer said that an Alto 800 car skidded off the road at Parenpilla Uri, resulting in on spot death of one person identified as Anayat Hussain son of Mohammad Sideeq Awan resident of Parenpilla Uri and injuries to his two children identified as Azhar Awan (21) and Muskaan (15).
Both the injured persons have been shifted to hospital for treatment, he said.
After completion of legal formalities, the body of the deceased person has been handed over to his legal heirs for last rites, the officer said.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has been taken up, the officer added.
