Abuja: Nigerian Army has successfully rescued around 760 people kidnapped by the Zamfara bandits while at least 55 armed men were killed during gunfights with troops, a military spokesperson said.

Another 24 armed men have been arrested by soldiers and handed over to the police for prosecution.

According to the sources, three soldiers lost their lives during the operation. (UNI)
