Srinagar: Thousands of people Tuesday attended the funeral prayers of slain Jaish-e-Mohammad militant Hilal Ahmad Naikoo in Pinglena village of Pulwama who was killed yesterday in a 17-hour-long gunfight with government forces.

According to eyewitnesses, thousands of people including women and children participated in his funeral prayers.

Eyewitnesses said that people from different localities of Pulwama were seen rushing towards the native village of slain Hilal.

Earlier on Monday, three militants including operational commander of Jaish-e-Mohammad, five security personnel and one civilian were killed in a 17-hour-long gun-battle. (KNO)
