J&K police arrest drug peddler in Ganderbal

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police Thursday arrested a drug peddler in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

A police spokesperson said that the drug peddler identified as Suhail Ahmed Tantray son of Mohammad Yousuf Tantray, a resident of Wakura was arrested for the drug offences has been taken to Police Station Ganderbal where he remains in custody.

“Officers on the spot have seized 15 bottles of codeine phosphate from his possession,” the spokesperson said.

He said that a case under FIR No 26/2019, under relevant sections has been registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation taken up.
