Srinagar: There was a break from the continuing cold wave conditions on Wednesday in Jammu and Kashmir following overcast skies in the valley and forecast of another spell of rain and snow later and on Thursday.

“Rain in plains and snowfall in mountains is likely to occur today and tomorrow,” an official of the Met Department said.

Minimum temperature was minus 0.1 degree Celsius in Srinagar, while in Pahalgam and Gulmarg it was minus 0.3 and minus 3, respectively.

In Ladakh, Leh was at minus 6.3, Kargil minus 17.2 and Drass minus 9.3.

Jammu city recorded 11.1, Katra 11.2, Batote 4.1, Bannihal 2.7 and Bhaderwah 1.6 degrees Celsius. (Agencies)
