Army resorts to aerial firing in Shopian after stone pelting clashes

Srinagar: The army on Wednesday resorted to aerial firing to disperse the stone pelting protesters in south Kashmir’s Shopian village.

Reports said that a groups of youth pelted stones at a military camp in Chillipora village of the district after returning from the funeral prayers of a local slain militant.

They said that the army resorted to intense firing to disperse them.

The clashes continued till the time this report was being filed.
