Shah Faesal deserves laurels for his bold decision to enter politics: Group of Concerned citizens

Srinagar: Group of Concerned Citizens, J&K, (GCC),” has welcomed the entry of Shah Faesal into politics.

They said he deserves all laurels for his bold decision.

“GCC is of the view that it is easy to be part of the crowd but tough to go against the wind, and notes with satisfaction, that Shah Faesal bade good bye to the comforts that would automatically and effortlessly come to him as part of an elite service and stepped into a world of uncertainty. This is not an easy job,” the concerned citizens said in a statement.

“GCC is, further, of the view that politics, in the present context, needs good people. We need to see a combination of good and well meaning people, having the requisite competence, to join the process of governance, even as the people, in general, are engaged in seeking a political solution of the festering Kashmir issue. The current impasse has been bleeding both India and Pakistan, which have the potential of playing a major role in determining a world order, based on progress, with equity”.

GCC is comprised of civil society members, across communities and regions, including jurists, former civil servants academicians, journalists, businessmen and social activists, namely, Jus (Rtd) Shabir Hasnain, Mohammad Shafi Pandit, Former Chairman J&K, PSC, Ghulam Rasool Sufi, Former Chief Information Commissioner, Abdul Wahid Qureshi, Former Vice Chancellor, GH Kango Former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Anuradha Bhasin, Head of Kashmir Times, Nusrat Andrabi, Krishan Lal Kaul, Businessman, Masood Ahmad Shah, Businessman, Prof Nissar Ali, Academician, Abdul Rashid Khan, Former IGP, Rafiq Masoodi, Former DDG Prasar Bharti, Masood Hussain, Artist, Feroze Ahmad, Former Census Commissioner from Ladakh, Krishi Pandit, GD Bakshi, Cooperative Activist and many others.”
