J&K Governor launches Role Model Scheme

Jammu: Role Model Scheme introduced by Special DG, J&K Zone CRPF was formally launched by Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here on Sunday.

The Governor also felicitated the role models on the occasion.

Lauding the role being played by the CRPF in maintaining security in the State, Governor appreciated the role of CRPF in the development of the state.

He complimented the force for carrying out civic action programme in the state.

He observed that the programme of high importance is aimed at motivating and encouraging the youth and to utilise the platform in order to prove their mettle in their respective fields.

The Governor noted that a role model is one who becomes an icon in personal life and inspires the others.
He observed that youth of the state have the potential to compete at national and international levels and there is need to channelise it in the right direction.

He said that the group comprising of children who have brought laurels to the state in different fields is an example in this regard.

The Governor observed that more and more achievers should be identified and honoured under the scheme so that others are inspired from them.

He noted that the initiative would go a long way in encouraging the youth and building the nation strong.
Complementing the achievers on the occasion, the Governor observed that these role models are the real wealth of the society. 


He desired that these children should be present on At Home function to be organised on Republic Day.
Earlier, Governor honored the role models of the State by presenting them mementos.
