Srinagar: The residents of Sariabala Srinagar- located in the center of Srinagar city- have threatened Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) for staging a protest if their water logged street is not drained.

A water lodged lane in Alsafa market of Saraibala Srinagar is creating inconvenience to the pedestrians and  commuters.

The water is logged in the street from past four days after the recent snowing in Kashmir valley.

The residents had sought the attention of the concerned authorities of SMC several times but the concerned authorities of SMC’s drainage division only promise use of water pumps to drain out the water from the lane but they are not even once bothered to inspect the spot for verification before draining out the water.

The residents have threatened to protest on the main road leading to Srinagar international airport if the authorities fail to drain out the water from the lane in next 24 hours.
