Srinagar: Government forces on Thursday morning launched a cordon and search operation in a village in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Reports said that a joint team of forces including army’s 14 RR along with Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir police launched the CASO in Kulhama village. The village is located on the outskirts of Bandipora.

They said that the CASO was launched after a tip-off about presence of militants in the area. The government forces were conducting door to door searcheswhen this report was being filed.
