11 J&K government buildings to have disabled-friendly facilities

Srinagar: The government of India on Wednesday released Rs 5.9 crore for establishing disabled-friendly infrastructure in eleven J&K government buildings for people with disabilities.

The tranche of funds was granted under the Accessible India Campaign by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, government of India, an official spokesperson said.

It said that Grant-in-Aid is first installment to  Jammu and Kashmir for creation of barrier free environment in 11 state government buildings for the benefit of persons with disabilities.
