Srinagar: An elderly woman was killed after a speeding tipper hit her at Langate area of north Kashmir’s Handwara.

A police official said that the woman was critically injured after hit by a tipper and was rushed to hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead.

The deceased has been identified as Saleema begum, 50, wife of Nazir Ahmad Mir, a resident of Safalpora Qaziabad.

Handwara police has registered a case and started investigations.
